Technical Architect

Sales Team | San Francisco, CA

At Dropbox we are passionate about making our customers successful. We are
looking for a technical architect who can go onsite with our largest customers, and
help them deploy Dropbox for Business into their enterprise with confidence and
full support.
This person will have a deep background in enterprise architecture, including
security apps, business apps , and document workflow. This person will also have a
strong customer presence and a proven record of working with Fortune 500
companies and delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Interacts with both technical and non-technical customers, attains relevant technical and business requirements, analyzes information and designs comprehensive solutions
  • Manages customer communications, conflicts, and negotiations related to overall solutions design
  • Develops visually rich and professional conceptual design documents targeted to varying audiences of business and technical aptitude
  • Develops detailed configuration specifications documentation targeted to technical consultants
  • Conducts solutions presentations and obtains customer acceptance to solution design
  • Validates solutions after built and provides solution walkthrough with customer. Guides customer through solution deployment
  • Travels to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations - not expected to exceed 25%

Requirements

  • BA/BS (Business, Computer Information Systems, or similar degree preferred) or equivalent experience with demonstrated proficiency
  • Strong aptitude toward communicating complex business and technical concepts using visualization and modeling aids. Ability to conceptualize and design sophisticated wireframes, workflows, and diagrams
  • Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communication skills with technical, non-technical, end-user, and executive audiences
  • Experience in the interactive marketing industry preferred
  • Experience developing SQL and experience with a RDBMS such as MySQL, Oracle, or MS SQL Server
  • Familiarity with client side programming languages such as .NET, JAVA, PHP, Ruby, C#, C++, Visual Basic, Python
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
  • Familiarity with systems integrations such as CRM, Content Management, POS/Commerce, or Web Analytics preferred
  • Familiarity with security standards such as TLS, SSL, data encryption preferred
