The Dropbox Business Strategy & Operations team is responsible for setting and driving key business initiatives across the entire company. The team complements and supports our world-class product, engineering, sales, and marketing teams across 3 critical areas: corporate and BU strategy, business planning and sales operations, and business systems and tools development.

As a member on the Business Strategy & Operations team, you will lead a team working closely with one or more executives to set strategies, develop supporting operating plans, and potentially lay the groundwork by driving the initial implementation of the strategy. You’ll help determine where Dropbox should be headed, and be given a wide charter to help us get there.

Analytical rigor and strategic thinking are essential, but we’ll also need you to get your hands dirty to help drive real, sustainable impact. You should expect to interact directly with Dropbox's partners and customers to help inform your insights, and will need to coordinate cross-functionally across all parts of the Dropbox team – product, engineering, sales, marketing, finance, legal, HR, IT – to execute initiatives that will help scale Dropbox to become the next great technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other leaders across Dropbox to deliver substantial, sustained and predictable growth and execution through defined strategies, processes and insights
  • Have a perspective on that biggest opportunities to scale the business and improve operations across the company
  • Create specific strategies and operational plans -- in partnership with cross-functional leads -- against these opportunities
  • Lead the initial implementation of the operational plan, to prove out the strategy and to see efforts through from idea to impact
  • Develop mastery over operational and financial drivers and metrics for the business, and share insights with executive team
  • Build peer-level relationships with executives and senior managers
  • Coach junior members on the team on how to develop strategies, create / run scalable business processes, and drive cross-functional execution and alignment
  • Recruit world-class team members to capitalize on the vast potential of Dropbox

Requirements

  • 4-6 years experience in a top-tier management consulting, investment banking, or private equity firm --- or in business operations / analytics, business intelligence, or GTM operations at a top tier tech company; experience at a tech startup a plus
  • Highly analytical and can develop strategies based on data-driven business insights
  • Practical business sense with the ability to translate between strategic business decisions and their operational implications
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues into structured frameworks and concrete action plans
  • Technical degree (computer science, engineering), Strong financial modeling skills preferred
