Financial Systems Solutions Developer
Finance Team | San Francisco, CA
The Finance team is responsible for developing and executing on Dropbox’s financial strategy and is hiring world-class employees to tackle the challenges ahead of us. As part of the Finance team you’ll have broad exposure to various teams within Dropbox, building strong internal business partnerships and you’ll also interact with a number of external business partners.
As a valued member of the Finance team, we’re looking for someone to help design, develop, and maintain our financial and operational business systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop script via API, web services and/or other third party tools to meet user requirements and support customized functionality beyond the out-of-box modules of external software used within the company
- Develop and deploy standalone custom apps outside of our core systems as necessary
- Provide ongoing support and system administration to troubleshoot software application issues
- Coordinate application development for multiple projects
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify any modification needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements
- Assist in analyzing data to identify data integrity issues with existing and proposed system solutions
Requirements
- At least 5 years of development work required in providing scalable solutions for Finance, Accounting and Business operations
- Javascript experience required
- Strong project management skills with effective results focus within information systems environment
- Experience in relational databases on data modeling, design and query languages
- Detailed understanding of common business and best practice solutions related to Finance and Accounting operations
- Extensive technical skills and business savvy attitude with the ability to transform end-user needs into technical requirements
- Ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to effectively communicate and coordinate projects for both technical and non-technical team members
- Working knowledge of Netsuite SuiteCloud IDE/SuiteScript Developer tools, Hyperion or BPC financial planning tool, SalesForce, Workday, SQL, ODBC and Boomi preferred
- Experience in designing, automating and scalable processes in hyper growth industry
