At Dropbox, we’re building the home for people’s most important stuff—photos, documents, and other essential information. Our small team builds the complex system that seamlessly handles over a billion files a day for over 200 million people, with an interface that’s both universal and simple on a variety of devices.
Dropbox is currently offered in 15 languages to people in more than 190 countries, but we’re just getting started. Like any modern technology, we’re constantly evolving and improving, and we strive to make the international experience delightful for users around the world.
The i18n team sweats the details to make sure that every person, regardless of language or location, receives a first-class experience when using Dropbox. Our goal is to make new features available to people in all languages immediately, by building the infrastructure that enables immediate interaction with our translator community. Past projects have run the gamut of creating scalable systems to serve translations, writing scripts to identify issues, automating tests to guarantee a consistent experience, and tracking down esoteric Unicode bugs across different operating systems. There’s a lot more to be done, and we need your help!
