Infrastructure Security Engineer - Corporate

The Infrastructure Security Team is seeking highly talented security engineers to help protect our corporate infrastructure. This critical role requires a deep passion for building security in a fast-paced startup environment. Our aim is to make security as easy and transparent to employees as possible.

We take protecting our corporate environment as seriously as we take production security. At Dropbox, our corporate and production security engineers work closely to make sure we don’t leave gaps in our defenses, so we can create the strongest defenses possible for protecting our user’s data.

Responsibilities

  • Develop methods to security harden Dropbox corporate environment without diminishing productivity
  • Build creative tools and services that detect security issues and increase our response capability
  • Provide security domain expertise on system, network, encryption and authentication services
  • Proactively audit the infrastructure, identify security problems and prioritize fixes

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Deep knowledge of at least one platform, and working knowledge on the other two (Mac/Windows/Linux).
  • Familiar with hardening client systems (desktops/laptops)
  • Experience with management/automation tools such as Puppet/Chef/Salt/Ansible, etc.
  • Understanding that the corporate network doesn’t stop at the firewall
  • Experience building security in a fast-growing startup environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of PKI and SSL/TLS.
  • Advanced knowledge of networking protocols - TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, etc.
  • Knowledge of the latest attack trends, tools and the threat landscape
  • Proven track record of independently driving security projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, on both technical and non-technical issues.
  • 2+ years of experience with scripting (Python, Ruby, Perl, bash, etc.)
