Consumer Communications and PR

Communications Team | San Francisco, CA

We’re looking for a communications rockstar to create narratives for our consumer products to share the magic of Dropbox and help the world connect with the Dropbox brand. This position will work closely with the rest of the communications team as well as our marketing and product teams to craft compelling stories about Dropbox and create and execute on strategies to bring these stories to life.

Responsibilities

  • Drive creative campaigns to increase consumer awareness of and regard for Dropbox products
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create and refine Dropbox consumer brand messaging and identify key audiences for these messages
  • Plan and execute communications strategies and product launches for consumer markets
  • Develop media pitches, generate media coverage and cultivate Dropbox relationships with media outlets
  • Manage external agency relationships

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of communications/PR experience, ideally in both agency and in-house tech company settings
  • Experience in and passion for growing and promoting strong consumer tech brands with a deep understanding of the tech industry landscape
  • Established relationships with industry media contacts and demonstrated success with consumer media relations
  • Skilled at planning, prioritizing and executing in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail
  • Analytical problem-solver with exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • Team player with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude, flexibility and sense of humor
