C:After Install on Windows NT, Error About NTSVINST.EXE File Crashing and then NSERVER.EXE CrashesProblem:A customer is attempting to install a Domino 4.6.7 server on a Windows NT system. The installation appears to work perfectly, until just after the "CONGRATULATIONS" screen appears. At that point, an error message appears stating the NTSVINST.EXE file has crashed, and that a RIP file will be generated. However, no RIP is generated. If the server is started, the NSERVER.EXE program crashes.Solution:This is not a Notes/Domino issue. It is actually the result of the Windows NT page file growing too large and not having enough free space on the hard drive to support the file. This will happen when drive space for the OS is separate from the drive space for applications or for data. For example:The hard drive is partitioned on the NT server as follows:C:= OS with 500MBD:= applications only (D:\NOTES) with 2GBE:= Dedicated to Notes Data with 50GBThe page file on the C drive has grown to 300MB, thus using up all free space on drive C.Once space is reclaimed on drive C, the Domino server comes back up fine.*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
