Is Not the Length Expected" Opening DatabaseProblem:When you attempt to access a database from a server the following error message occurs:"Multi-segment ID table length from server is not the length expected"You can access all other databases successfully, and all other clients can access this database. You used to be able to access this database without a problem.Solution:This problem can occur when a very large unread list in a database becomes corrupted. This error message indicates the size in the header does not match the size of the actual table. One instance of this error message has been addressed in Notes releases 4.11 and 4.5. However, there were other instances of this discovered and addressed in Notes 4.5.4. Release 4.5.4 detects and fixes corrupt unread id tables. In releases prior to 4.5.4, the following workarounds can be tried to alleviate the problem. Note: These workarounds do not fix all cases of this problem.1. Delete the database icon from the user's desktop, open the database via File, Database, Open, and select Edit, Unread Marks, Mark All Read BEFORE closing the database.2. Take the user ID to the server machine, run the client using that ID, select the database and select Edit, Unread Marks, Mark All Read.3. Create a new replica, which will throw away all unread lists and thereby avoid this problem. The ultimate solution is to upgrade the server where the database resides to Domino 4.5.4 Server. If the database is replicated locally, and the problem is experienced locally, then the resolution would be to upgrade the client to Notes 4.5.4 Client.
Bien à vous
